Kolkata, Feb 4 (IANS) Three people including a woman have been nabbed and fake Indian currency notes of face value Rs.3 lakh seized from them in West Bengal’s Malda district, the BSF said on Thursday.

The accused were nabbed in two different operations.
In first operation, Border Security Force troopers nabbed a man and a woman on Wednesday night in the Gopalganj border outpost area.
“A BSF team intercepted the couple going on a motorcycle near Gopalganj. During a search, fake notes of face value Rs.2 lakh and two mobile phones with SIM cards were seized from their possession,” said a BSF spokesperson.
In another operation on Wednesday night, BSF troopers along with police apprehended a man carrying fake notes of face value Rs.1 lakh near Kaliachak market in the district.
The BSF has so far this year seized fake notes of face value nearly Rs.14 lakh and apprehended five smugglers from across the South Bengal frontier.
