Prayag United play goalless draw against HAL

Kolkata, Jan 14 (IANS) Prayag United were held to a goalless draw at home against HAL Bangalore at the Yuba Bharati Krinangan here Saturday. The draw has put a dent on their aspirations of finishing in the top half of the table.

In a match that lacked any bite, only Josimar Da Silva Martins and Yusif Yakubu came close to scoring, but failed to provide any breakthroughs in the match and both teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw.
Prayag United Coach Sanjoy Sen, will be disappointed that his team could not capitalise on an easier opponent at home while HAL will go home the happier of the two sides.
The draw means Prayag United SC have 22 points from 14 matches.
Meanwhile, HAL picked up only their 3rd draw of the current I-League season to take them to 3 points from 14 matches and they remain at the rock bottom on the table.
Denson Devdas of Prayag United was adjudged man of the match.
