President to attend golden jubilee of Bharati Vidyapeeth

Pune, June 24 (IANS) President Pranab Mukherjee will be the chief guest at the golden jubilee celebrations of Bharati Vidyapeeth University here on Thursday, a Raj Bhavan spokesperson said here on Wednesday.

The President will be received by Maharashtra Governor C.V. Rao and other dignitaries on Thursday on his arrival at Lohegaon airport of Pune.
The President, who will be arriving on a two-day visit, will confer the ‘Punyabhushan Award’ on Prataprao Pawar of Sakal Media Group on Friday.
Later that evening, he will attend the sixth convocation ceremony of Dr D.Y. Patil Vidyapeeth at Pimpri, before returning to New Delhi.
