If you all missed Rajnikant from your big screens, then we have some good news for you. Rajnikant’s Enthiran or Robot as released worldwide is set to get a sequel and the role of the villain is going to be played none other than our very own Khiladi. The movie went on the floors on Wednesday and the Actor Akshay Kumar tweeted about the movie.
“Akshay is all set to make his Tamil debut with the film in which he will be playing the villain,” a source from the film’s unit told IANS. Apparently the producers of the movie were planning to get the Terminator Arnold Schwarzenegger but the talks and the deal just did not go through.
This is good news for many Rajnikant fans and also Akshay Kumar fans since both the stars have not been seen on the silver screen since quite some time now. Also it will be fun to see the Khiladi work with Shivaji The Boss as it will be one epic combination. It will also be after a long time that we will be seeing Akshay Kumar play the role of an antagonist in a movie since his all previous box office offerings were he in the role of a hero, saving the world or the country.
The movie Enthiran 2 is a sequel to the first Enthiran or Robot which starred Rajnikant and Aishwarya Rai in the lead role. This time around, this task will be taken care of by Amy Jackson who will be starring in the movie. Her role in the movie is of a robot. The production of the movie is done by Lyca Productions.
As for the rest of the support team, the camera work will be completely handled by Nirav Shah and his team while the music will be done by the world famous and renowned musician, Oscar Winner A.R Rahman. So we can expect some good hits from the movie. Since the movie has hit the floor just yet, the music of the movie should be out by early next year.
The movie will be directed by Shankar while the visual effects are all the responsibility of Srinivas Mohan who had worked on the VFX for Bahubali and has risen to fame in a jiffy with some wonderful work there. The movie is undergoing shooting currently and it should make it to the box office by mid-late 2016.
