Yaounde, Dec 28 (IANS) More than 100 suspected Boko Haram militants were killed and over 200 arrested during an operation conducted by Cameroon’s army in Far-North Region, an army source said Saturday.
The operation took place in Doble in the region bordering Nigeria, and was conducted by Cameroon Air Force and Rapid Intervention Battalion, an elite army unit Friday night, Xinhua reported.
During the operation, three air force pilots were seriously injured, the source said.
In the same night, 23 Cameroonian civilians were killed and a village was burned by suspected militants in Mozogo, a place in Far-North Region.
