Canada offering avenues for Indian investors

Chandigarh, Nov 16 ( Canada is offering various options for Indian businessmen and capital investors willing to migrate there as permanent residents, an immigration consultancy said here Monday.

“Businessmen can easily migrate to Canada as permanent residents under the Canadian Federal Investor Program and Quebec Investor Program,” said B.S. Sandhu, chairman and managing director of WorldWide Immigration Consultancy Services (WWICS).

“Under these programmes, they do not even require to sit for any exam like IELTS,” Sandhu told reporters, referring to the International English Language Testing System.

“With just two years’ business experience and having net worth equivalent to Canadian $800,000 ($764,300/Rs.35 crore), businessmen can qualify to migrate with their entire family. Besides, by investing Rs.50 lakh, investors can immigrate there on fast track system in six to 12 months.”

WWICS is a 15-year-old company dealing in immigration, settlement, strategic business consultancy and real estate across the world with offices in India, Canada, Australia, the UAE, Britain and Kenya.

It also offers post-landing facilities through Global Placement Services (GPS), a group firm based in Toronto, Canada.

Said GPS director Curtis Panke: “Many employers and corporate houses in Canada demand Indian talent. Along with WWICS, we are in touch with more than 5,000 North American companies to meet their human resource needs.”

According to Panke, this year Canada is accepting the highest number of immigrants from across the globe in the last 15 years.

“Realising its need to have young and talented people, the Canadian government has implemented major changes to ease the influx of talented and hard working immigrants,” he said.

Talking about business opportunities in the Czech Republic in Europe, Sandhu said, “Even the Czech Republic with its liberalised business immigration policies is attracting Indian investors.”
