Senior JD(U) functionary KC Tyagi claimed on Saturday that the opposition INDIA bloc had offered Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar the prime ministership if he joined their alliance. However, politicians from the INDIA bloc dismissed the claim. Meanwhile, the RJD alleged that this was a JD(U) tactic aimed at securing more leverage with the BJP on the eve of Narendra Modi’s swearing-in as Prime Minister.
