UP Congress Committee constituted

Lucknow, Jan 30 (IANS) The Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee (UPCC) was constituted Thursday after a go-ahead from Congress president Sonia Gandhi, the party announced here.

AICC General secretary in-charge Madhusudan Mistry formed the state Pradesh Congress Committee which has 32 vice-presidents, one treasurer, 61 general secretaries, 13 organisational secretaries, 13 secretaries and 45 members in the state executive.
Two people have also been made permanent invitees to the Uttar Pradesh PCC.
The Congress recently set up an election coordination committee and is now trying to finalise candidates for the Lok Sabha elections.
The Congress, with 22 parliamentarians from the Uttar Pradesh in the outgoing Lok Sabha, is also making frantic efforts to keep up the tally.
