DMK holds protest against Tamil Nadu government

Chennai, Oct 5 (IANS) With police denying it permission for a human chain protest, DMK chief M. Karunanidhi here Friday launched the party’s three-day door-to-door distribution of pamphlets hitting out against the policies of the AIADMK government.

Attired in a black shirt, Karunanidhi launched the party’s campaign distributing the bills at the Thousand Lights area here.
The pamphlets listed out what the party calls “misdeeds” of the government, including also things like the severe power crunch in the state.
The party’s executive committee meeting here Oct 1 had decided to hold a human chain protest in Chennai and all district headquarters Oct 5, to mark its protest against the AIADMK government in the state.
