Panaji, March 21 (IANS) A task force will be constituted within a week to put together a draft industrial policy for Goa, Industries Minister Mahadev Naik said Thursday.
“Eighty-ninety percent ground work for the industrial policy is already done. We will set up a task force having industry stakeholders as its members within seven days. The proposals of task force will be incorporated and left open for public scrutiny,” Naik told the state assembly here during its budget session.
Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar has said that IT and IT-enabled services will be among the key thrust areas of the state’s industrial policy, which will also stress upon promotion of green industries and pollution-free pharmaceutical sector.
