New Delhi, Aug 28 (Inditop.com) Commercial vehicle maker Force Motors hopes to sell 4,200 trucks this year, including 1,200 units in the overseas markets.
“We are expecting to sell around 4,200 trucks this year, out of which 1,200 vehicles are to be exported to Africa, Russia, China, Europe and Central Asia,” said company chairman and managing director Abhay Firodia on the sidelines of the annual convention of the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM).
Firodia conceded that “exports have sat down today the worldover” on account of one of the worst downturns in the automobile industry, but expressed confidence that it would gradually “ramp up”.
He also said his company would not dilute stake because of the slowdown. “I have no intention whatsoever in changing our equity stakes.”
